Landing in Normand was supposed to enable the Allies to destroy the walls which surrounded Europe. Its success depended on the right place of landing and gathering suitable means which were indispensable in deceiving the enemy out of the true intentions of the ally army.Despite the resistance of England – which saw the political advantages in Italian campaign and liberation of the Balkans from the south, as the chances were influential on the situation in Middle Europe – 6th of June 1944the armies of the Allies landed in Normand.The operation “Overlord” was one of the biggest landings. Polish war ships :”Dragon”, “B³yskawica”,”Piorun”, “Krakowiak”, “Œl¹zak” were fighting among invasion fleet. German army were completely taken by surprise. They expected the landing at midnight in France, where in the region of Calas the main forces were gathered.
