National Content: United Kingdom

The sources collected are from The Times newspaper, the Guardian and the BBC. All sources carry details of the actual event in so far as they have them which in the immediate days after the event are rather limited. They also make comments on the lack of information available and the differences in the reports as to the number of people killed and injured in the accident. There appears a general sense of confusion as to what had actually happened, a sense of lack of information and a fear as to the long term effects both nationally for Russia and internationally in terms of the spread of radiation and the effect on the development of nuclear power.
