Critical Interpretation of the event starting form the Sources

The sources show the Warsaw bombardment in September 1939. They are just a small fragment of the whole documantation of those days. They show the vastness of destruction and the suffering and pain of the citizens and the whole of Polish nation after the German millitary attacks and the loss of sovereignity – the statehood of Poland. When German airplanes begun the attack on our capital city, no one thought how big a damage we would sustain, both material and spiritual. The sources, although limited, contain exactly all, even the smallest elements describing those dramatic September events, which were only the beginning of Polish war tragedy.
