Since 1943, the French soil has been targetted by the allied air force in order to destroy the French industrial facilities working for the Nazi War Effort. There are numerous French victims. Because of its link with the Nazi propaganda, the Vichy press denounces the allied war methods which are qualified as barbarous. Right from June 1944, the French territory becomes a battlefield again. This implies a severe blow on civilian population. Lots of people are killed. This is the price to pay for liberation.
