In 1972, George Pompidou is the President of the French Republic. As a result of the 6 day-war 1967,there is a breaking off in Gaullist Policy and in the balance between Arabic and Israeli interests. As soon as 1968, there is a total embargo on weapons towards Israel and strenghtening of the French presence on the Arabic scene. There is a a real stir in the country because of the attacks and the place where the event took place (GERMANY and the Victims who were JEWISH).
