The two special editions of German newspapers from 21 August 1968 are prove that something important had happened: the invasion of Soviet tanks and troops in CSSR. The soldiers were also from DDR, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria and the boulevard press titled: "Red invasion" which points out the background of the Warsaw Pact. Both articles report that the Czechoslovakian government wants no defence from the own troops and to keep the people quiet. But they said also that the invasion is a break of the contracts between the states of the Warsaw Pact and the rights of the sovereign state is not respected. An article of the Munich "Süddeutsche Zeitung" titled "Soviet tanks at the Bavarian border". This title shows the fear in Germany. The picture is a contrast to the articles because is shows that thousands of people are in the streets of Prague and surround the Russian tanks, what was extremely dangerous. The inhabitants of Prague risked health and life to defend their freedom in the "Spring of Prague".
