reading the diary i found this part:<<"Sunday, June 12th, 1944 Germans are putting notices in the French camp where is written: «French enrol! Your fatherland is in danger!» […]. ">>what does this notice mean? what did the germans wanted to do whith that notice? thanks

It's the same that attempted to do Germans and Fascists of the Italian Social Republic in Italy after the Armistice on September 8th, 1943: they were trying to convince people to fight with them against the Anglo-American Allies and against the Resistance. About Italy, we can say that this attempt was unsuccessful, considering that, after the Armistice between the Italian and the Allied armies, more than 1 million Italian soldiers were disarmed by the Wehrmacht, and only 180.000 of them decided to collaborate with Nazis and Fascists.
