Critical Interpretation of the event starting form the Sources

The sources refer to the events which started the second World. The sources tell us how the Polish nation fought the invaders, despite their considerable prevailance. On the 1st of September the Polish people didn’t surrender, they fought although the enemy had had the cruiser, the “Schleswig-Holstein” and Poland had only a few guns. The Polish nation had something of bigger meaning than the best armament. They had unimaginable will of fight, strenght, braveness. They believed in victory, although they didn’t have a smallest chance to succeed. But that's why - for many people - the Poles have won, because they have been able to resist the enemy's attack and to fight continuously for several days, despite running out of ammunition. But their love of homeland didn't let them stop the fight. The Poles are the ones who suffered the most during second World War because they lost their most important thing, their own homeland.
