Critical Interpretation of the event starting form the Sources

Rather than a critical interpretation of the event the sources used allow a critical interpretation of the way the event was represented by the fascist propaganda and the papers. Let’s not forget that at the time Italy was allied to Germany and most of its population belonged to the farming world. Germany is described under a positive light, showing that its efficient and victorious supremacy can indeed dictate a new European order. The war only represents a necessary and natural step towards this goal. On the other side we can see a disoriented world, where people fear for the future, for its impredictability, a farming world that lives far from the fascist war. Those who lived in the cities initially seemed to approve of the war but recognized to have been kept completely ignorant with respect to what was really going on.
