'Illusion and reality'
The postcard shows the broken wall and a piece of a newspaper with a statement of Erich Honecker (Last first secretary of the communist party). The statement was made only some weeks before the fall of the wall. He gave the prognose that the wall will be there for 100 more years.
Opening of the wall - a misunderstanding?
A member of the Politbüro of the socialist party gave a press conference when he got suddenly a new information. He read this information loudly for the journalist without having a proper and detailed information about the contence. Obviously he did not gave the information as intented but told the public that it was immediately possible for the people from East-Germany to travel to the western countries without having a special reason as it was before.
Symbol of resistance
The two German states always have the same colöurs in each flag, but the communist east part added zhe communist symbol. Now directly after the fall of the Berlin Wall they deleted the communist symbol to express that they wanted to be united with the western part of Germany.
