The word “national” is not necessary appropriate. There is no “national” point of view concerning the bombings, that is to say about the collaborators newspapers. For they don’t represent a “national” opinion, but only the occupying forces.
On the other hand, the clandestine newspapers, representing the large ideological streams in French-speaking Belgium, generally present the Anglo-American air raids as the cost to be paid for the victory and the liberation of the country.
