Interpretation of the sourceThe text describes the facts of the invasion, the reaction of the people in CSSR and the statement of the political leaders of the governmet of the CSSR. There is a quotation of the leaders of the Communist Party asking the people to show a worthy quietness. Only that could bring a solution of the actual situation. The leaders demand that all foreign troups should leave the country immidiatly. There is also an information that the State Television was not able to broadcast any more.

Original Contents (English Translation)The article reports that the Czechoslovakia was attacked from all sides by troupes from Soviet Union, DDR, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria. It says that the attackers pretend to have been called for help by communist from the Czechoslovakia. The Czechoslovakian government asked the peope of the country not to fight against the foreign troups.
In the course of the article the events are described, what happend in Prague and other cities.
The most important Czechoslovakian newspaper is quotated with the phrase that the whole country is supporting Dubcek and the other leaders of the Czechoslovakia.
The Russian press agency is mentioned and the fact that no eastern source is give names of those who should have called foreign troups for help in the fight against so called anti-socialistic fources.
