The press, free again, is divided between different trends : the “neutral” newspapers such as “La Libre Belgique”, newspapers of Catholic trend such as “Vers l’Avenir”, or newspapers of socialist trend such as “La Meuse”. We still have a masses newspaper, “Le Patriote Illustré”, which gives international information illustrated by numerous pictures. “Le Soir Illustré” and “Le Patriote Illustré” are both the only information magazine in which the text is supported by numerous pictures. We could also observe another weekly newspaper, the “Pourquoi Pas”.
The newspapers we analysed date back to the beginning of the trial.
